Environmental Policy

Interplex’s dedication to environmental protection extends beyond basic compliance. We believe that we have a corporate responsibility toward mitigating climate change and reducing the impact of climate risk scenarios. Our corporate environmental policy endeavors to ensure environmental sustainability across our business locations, focusing on evaluating aspects such as greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, water consumption, and pollution.

This policy will guide our efforts over the coming years and support commitments we made to the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Pledge for safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH Pledge), and other global initiatives to unify organizations against climate change. Across all Interplex locations, we are consolidating efforts to implement initiatives to reduce our environmental impact.

‘’To reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, we plan to implement the use of green electricity throughout our global footprint by installing solar panels at 50% of all sites by 2030’’

Additionally, we have implemented measures such as monitoring air emissions at all manufacturing locations and conducting 8 hours of training per year for all positions that require chemical waste and spill management. Our full environmental policy can be accessed here.

Energy Management Policy

Interplex strives to use energy in the most efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible manner possible to mitigate the climate change crisis. We are committed to continuously improving our energy performance as a key component of our goal to maximize profitability and provide customers with the highest quality products.

Our three-pronged objectives of our Energy Management Policy are as follows:
  • Maximize performance to reduce operational expenses
  • Increase shareholder value
  • Reduce the environmental impact associated with energy use in the communities where were operate.
To achieve these objectives, we have committed to a plethora of measures, including adopting energy-efficient technology in our manufacturing facilities, monitoring and reporting energy usage for all locations, and procuring goods and services from organizations that share our environmental commitment. To enforce these measures and raise awareness, we have committed to communicating these protocols with our employees and other stakeholders and holding discussions within our company and supply chain to procure ideas on how to better manage energy matters of common concern.

EHS Policy

Interplex is committed to protecting the environment, health and safety of our employees, customers, contractors, visitors and the communities we reside in. We comply with all applicable regulatory requirements while striving to achieve a zero incident workplace. We have developed a comprehensive action plan to promote, facilitate and maintain 3 major pillars: Environmental Protection A Safe and Healthy Workplace Complete Regulatory Compliance. As responsible corporate citizens, we endeavor to continuously improve our EHS performance and management systems as part of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Framework.
