Application Business Development Manager – Solder Interconnect

Brief Description

This Position will have the responsibility to partner with the Product Management team and General Manager to expand our solder technology, interconnect existing high GP products. The Interconnect Solder Technology is a proprietary product with a unique niche in the market due to its design, functionality, and reliability. This role with identify other applications where his product has its place and become a true product line in the interconnect solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of business opportunities with innovative engineered solution to application requirements. Transition from a “Build to Print” (B2P) to “Build to spec” and “Build to Application” through developing solutions by working with customers’ engineers.
  • Translate customer requirements to product requirements, articulating a clear, differentiated, compelling value proposition, including solution, product, technology, and financial value.
  • Maintain close working relationships with key senior level managers, engineers and purchasing personnel within existing and new accounts.
  • Driving growth at existing accounts and targeted new accounts with the goal of developing new products interconnect solder solutions to meet customer demands and growth revenues while secure profitability.
  • Formulating Solder Technology Short- and Long-Range Sales Plan.
  • Partner with GM to manage product line revenue and margin.
  • Partner with the product management team to set product line strategy and direction.
  • Identify market applications to grow the product and manage product life cycle.
  • Have ownership of the commercial, technical and relationships with customers as a one source of customer interface.
  • Involvement in product marketing planning, product introduction and list pricing.

Other Specifications

  • This role will require about 40-60%% traveling domestically and internationally.
  • Flexible schedule is required to balance communication and partnerships in different time zones and globally.
  • Primary office will be at the Northvale, NJ location.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the automotive, medical or mobile device markets with a connector background.
  • Engineering Degree or similar Technical Degree.
  • Marketing background with strong sales experience.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an established network in multiple industries including but not limited to Automotive, Medical, IoT, mobile devices and Industrial.
  • Manufacturing and Product Design background a plus.
  • Sales at a global scale with strong connections.
  • Creative and innovative interconnect solution experience very helpful. Experienced with the Soldering applications very helpful.
