Medical Devices Donation to SDS Tuberculosis Research Centre & Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore, India

Bangalore, India (September 01, 2020) — The overwhelming exponential rise in COVID-19 cases has pushed Bangalore to re-impose a shutdown in July, with the gradual re-opening of businesses and offices outside containment zones. However, even with government intervention, Bangalore is among the ten worst-affected cities in India, with high number of active cases.

There are few hospitals in Bangalore that are well-equipped in the fight against this pandemic. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore is a Tertiary Care Specialty Centre for respiratory and chest diseases, and is one of the hospitals that manages COVID-19 cases. As an entity operating in India, Interplex believes we should do our part for the local communities that we are located in.

To support the fight against COVID-19, we donated medical supplies and equipment ranging from surgical masks, ECG machine, Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure machines (Auto BiPAP) and High Flow Nasal Oxygen (HFNO) machines to the SDS Tuberculosis Research Centre & Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore, India.
